Summary: Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing shower houses, restrooms, break rooms, canteens and offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Restrooms and shower houses:
    • Twice daily: Cleans and sanitizes urinals, toilets and sinks. Checks paper towel and soap dispensers.
    • Daily: Empties trash, washes walls behind urinals and sinks.
    • Weekly: Washes walls and stocks supplies.
    • Monthly: Cleans light fixtures
    • As needed: Reports maintenance problems and removes graffiti on walls.
  • Canteens:
    • Twice daily: Sweeps, mops and removes trash.
    • Daily: Washes benches and removes trash.
    • Weekly: Washes windows and stocks supplies.
    • Monthly: Washes walls.
  • Offices:
    • Daily: Sweeps and mops floors, empties trash and dusts chairs.
    • Weekly: Dusts ledges, washes inside windows.
    • Monthly: Washes outside windows.
  • Follows job work instructions and training matrix, where applicable.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
