Summary: Responsible for providing fork truck service to the Floor Molding area.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate fork truck in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect fork truck daily.
  • Maintain daily fork truck report.
  • Make sure pattern is correct for each job.
  • Make sure flasks are ready for job.
  • Make sure supplies such as sleeves, tiles, facing sand, wooden arbors, wooden wedges, nails, cope sand, and jaggers are ready for each job.
  • Haul molds to shakeout.
  • Haul flasks to and from shakeout.
  • Prepare flasks for the next days run.
  • Help molding crew make and finish molds.
  • Wear required safety equipment.
  • Follow all applicable procedures and instructions.

Education and/or Experience: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses: 

Fork truck license
